The Gale, from Lyttelton, is due here to day, and is to sail on Monday for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui. The Corinna sailed yesterday afternoon for Oarnaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth. The Kates, from Lyttelton, is due here -tomorrow, and is to sail on Tuesday for Oarnaru, Timaru, Wellington, and Auckland. Tho Kahika, which is due here on Monday from Wellington, is to sail the same day for Bluff. She will return here on Wednesday, and will sail for New Plymouth, and Nelson, via ports. The Kaituna is to leave Wellington on Monday for Port Chalmers, where she will dock lor overhaul. ' The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Line steamer Mahana, from Gisborne, via Auckland, is due at Wellington on Monday, and is to leave there on March 10 for London, via Montevideo and Teneriffe, The steamer Jersey City, from Adelaide, ia duo at New Plymouth on March 7 to discharge case oil from American ports. After completion of discharge tho Jersey City will load in New Zealand: for the United Kingdom. The Island steamer Navua, from Tonga, Samoa, and Fiji, arrived at Auckland on Wednesday to disembark 105 passengers and to discharge bananas and a quantity of general produce. The Royal Mail steamer Makura, from Vancouver, via Suva, is 1 due at Auckland ou March 16. From Auckland she will go ,to Sydney. HJiI.S. Chatham left Auckland on Tuesday for Australia, where she will visit Jervoia Bay, Sydney, Melbourne, and Hobart. She is is duo back in New Zealand waters on April 13. HAURAKI, FROM SAN FRANCISCO. The Union Company’s motor-step Hauraii is reported as having left San Francisco on February 24 for Auckland,- Melbourne, Adelaide, and Sydney. She is expected at Auckland about March 18. RAEANGA, FROM ANTWERP. The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Raranga, with cargo from London, is due at Auckland about March 21 from Antwerp direct. Her cargo is for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, and New Plymouth. PORT ADELAIDE’S ITINERARY. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line Bteanvor Port Adelaide, which arrived at Wellington from Hobart on Sunday, ia to load at Wellington, Wanganui, and Napier. Sho will be despatched finally from Wellington for London, via Montevideo, about March 18. THE PORT NAPIER. Messrs J. W. Swift and Co. havo received advice that tho Commonwealth and Dominion Lino steamer Port Napier is due at Ane.lrla.nd from Australia to commence loading for England about March 8. She will afterwards go to Whakatane, Gisborne, Napier, and Wellington to complete loading, and will ultimately return to Auckland. Sho will bo despatched from Auckland fojr London, via Montevideo, about April 1. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE. Tho following vessels were expected to bo within range of the undor-mentioned wireless stations last night:—Auckland: Niagara, Waipori, Kaiwarra, Vinita, Rona, Chatham. Kaitoke, Wingatui, Kaikorai, Veronica, and Westmoreland. Swift and Co. advise that the- Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Curtis is expected to commence loading at Auckland on March 5 for Now York and London. Prom Auckland the vessel will go to Gisborne, Napier, and Wellington to complete and will be despatched from the last-named port about -March 16. BIG AUSTRALIAN SHIP. Within a few weeks the largest vessel built in Australia will he launched from the Cockatoo slip. The new ship is of 12,800 tons, and on completion will augment the fleet of the Commonwealth Line. . . Practically all her fittings, including the boilers, havo been made in tho local yards. The work has progressed more rapidly than was expected. Up-to-date plant has enabled tbo strictest economy.
