ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
AN IMMIGRANT’S DEATH. (Pee United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, February 15, Charlotte Jervois, aged about 25 years, a recent arrival from England, who was employed as a kitehenmaid at the Christchurch Club, was discovered dead last night in a bathroom in the club’s premises. She entered the employ of the club only on Thursday last. She was missed by her room mate, who on investigating found the bathroom locked. She could get no response to her calls, and the door was forced, with the result that deceased "’as found dead on the floor. She had had a bath, and apparently was dressing when she collapsed.
