RIFLE SHOOTING

(From Our Own Correspondent.) KAITANGATA, January. 29. The Kaitangata Rifle Club held a successful shoot on Saturday, four prizes being presented by Messrs Best .and Co. Some fine individual scores were registered, such as that of Rifleman Johnston (47) and W. K'Dougall (46) at 300 yards, and Dr W. B. Reekie (48) and W. D. Paterson (46) at 500 yards. The conditions were 10 shots and an optional sighter at the 300 yd and 500 yd ranges. The limit was fixed at 90.
