M.C.C. v. WELLINGTON. A WIN- FOR THE ENGLISHMEN. HOME TEAM’S GOOD BOWLING. BRICE’S HEAVY TOLL. (Pkb United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, January 29. The M.C.C. versus Wellington match was concluded to-day in tine weather. Ihe wicket was still bad during the morning, but improved a great deal after the luncheon adjournment. The attendance was estimated at 2500. Dempster and Henderson, the unbeaten pair, went to the wickets again, and the partnership was the most profitable one of the innings. The pair put on 29 runs, Dempster being top scorer with 36. Henderson made 8, not out. A brilliant return closed the innings for 133. Wilkinson and Titchmarsh opened the M.O.C. innings against Brice and M Girr, and disaster came early, Brice clean bowling Wilkinson after ne had scored one. I—l—3.
