DAIRY PRODUCE. (Peb United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, January 22. The Nationul Dairy Association has received the following cablegram from its London office under date January 20; Butler.—The market is quieter. New Zealand salted, 196s' to 19Ss; unsaltcd, 198 sto 200 s; Australian salted, 190 sto 1925; Danish salted, 210 s to 2125. Cheese.—The market has smartly declined with less demand. The position is affected by re-selling forward bought cheese, which shows a good margin of profit to the original buyers even at the reduced current values. PRICE OF MUTTON SHARP RISE AT CHRISTCHURCH. (From Oub Own Correspondent.) CHRISTCHURCH, January 22. Owing to the very small yarding of fat sheep at the Addington market on _Wednesday mutton showed a sharp rise in price, with the result that the retail prices have now firmed. The comparison between the prices ruling at Addington on Wednesday and those at this time last year shows what a big increase has taken place. Wheat.—The Government will not accept wheat after the end of February. Several lines of wheat from Milton and surrounding districts were submitted to tho grader, and in all GOO sacks were passed as milling. Chaff.—The market for good quality is firm. Supplies are short, and prime chaff is selling at £5 per ton, ex truck. Good to best feed, £4 5s to £4 10s; medium, light, and discoloured, £2 to £3 10s, sacks extra. LONDON WOOL SALES. Messrs Dalgety and Co. (Ltd.) report haying received the following cable from their head office, dated London, January 19: Merino three-quarter to full woolled, 16Jd ; merino quarter to half woolled, 14d; short and shorn, Bd;crossbted three-quarter to full woolled, fine, 12.1 to 18d; crossbred threequarter to full woolled medium and coarse, 8d to 12d; crossbred quarter to half woolled, fine, Sd to ltd; crossbred quarter to half woolled, medium and coarse, 7d to 10d; crossbred short and shorn, 6d to 7Jd; lambs, 8d to 12d. Four thousand six hundred and twentyfive bales of sheepskins were offered and practically all were so’d, America buying crossbred! actively. Australasian: As compared with last sale’s closing rates, merino prices are higher 7} per cent, fine crossbred are higher 10 per cent, coarse and medium crossbred are higher 10 to 15 per cent; this advance applies more especially to the better grades. Poultry; Hens, 2s to 3s per pair; ducks, Gs per pair; geese, Ss per pair. Turkeys : Hens, 9d per lb; gobblers, lOd per lb. Pigs: Baconcra, 61d; porkers, 6Jd per lb. Potatoes: Oamaru, 7s to fis per cwt. Onions To hand, 14s per cwt. Chaff: Prime oaten sheaf, £4 15s per ton, sacks extra; medium quality, over supply. Oats, 3s per bushel, sucks extra. Whole fowl wheat, 4s 6d per bushel, sacks extra. Straw: Pressed wheaten (quiet), £3; oaten, £3 10s per ton, ex store. Please note: Pigs and poultry must arrive not later than Thursday mornings..
