The Vincent Jockey Club’s meeting; concluded to-day in ideal weather and with an attendance exceeding that of the previous , day. Throughout the two days some splendid racing was witnessed, and several finishes were exciting, only the narrowest margin separating the placed horses. The strength of the fields competing can he judged from the fact that in only two races out of 11 was only one dividend paid. There was practically no hitch, tho only incident being the questioning of Kilmarnock's rider in the Kawarau trot for delay in taking his boll, and a similar action on Dancing Day|s rider for closing in somewhat quickly in one event, but in both cases too explanations were accepted as quite satisfactory. Again to-day one trotting field included only six performers, and the totalisator figures for the two days were £230 10s less than last year.
