GROCERS’ PICNIC ASSOCIATION

The annual meeting- of the Dunedin and Suburban Grocers’ Picnic Association was held in the Trades Hall on Thursday evening. There was a fair attendance or master grocers and assistants, and the chair was occupied by Mr C. Fraser. The report and balance sheet were submitted by the secretary (Mr D. Henderson), and showed the association to be in a sound financial position. The chairman, in moving the adoption of the report and balance sheet, paid a compliment to the secretary tor the manner in which he had at all times brought forward his balance sheet, and thanked the other members of the committee, along with the secretary, for making the last picnic at Mount Stuart such a success. The report and balance sheet were adopted. The following were elected as officials for the 1923 picnic, which will be held at Mount Stuart on Saturday, February 24:—President, Mr C. Fraser; vice-presidents— Messrs R. M'Cormack and W. MTntyre; secretary, Mr D. Henderson; treasurer, Mr T. Kershaw; handicapper and starter, Mr W. Rennick; committee—Messrs J. Timlin, F. Brown, A. Fraser, IV. Rennick, G. Beath, W. Wallace: trustees—Messrs T. Baxter and W. Wright; auditors—Messrs A. E. Mong and A. Edgar.
