[jQUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF SPECIAL ORDER AUTHORISING LOAN OF £3600, PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Dunedin City Council, at a Special Aleoting convened for the purpose, and hold on Wednesday, tho 6th day of December, 1922, Passed tho following Resolu tion—viz.: That it be and is hereby resolved by the Dunedin City Council, so that this resolution may be confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the Council and operate as a Special Order, that tho said Council, in. pursuance and exercise of tho powers vested m it in that behalf by ‘‘The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913,” do raise a Special Loan of £3600 (Three Thousand Six Hundred Pounds) for the purpose of paying off a part—namely, £3500 (the remaining par*, being provided for by other means) —of a loan of £4OOO raised in 1001 by tho Council of the Borough of Maori Hill,' which Borough now forms part of the City of Dunedin. 2. That the security for the Interest and Sinking Fund and Repayment of the said Special Loan of £3500 be a special annual recurring Rato of One Farthing (id) in tho Pound upon tho rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of, all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of tho City of Dunedin, in addition to the liability of the Corporation of tho City of Dunedin and its assets generally for payment of the Debentures and Coupons issued in respect of such Loan 3. That the currency of the said Special Loan bo Twelve (12) years from the Ist day of March, 1923. 4. That a Sinking Fund of One Pound per centum per annum on the amount of the said Loan be established in connection with the said Special Loan, aftd that the amount of such Sinking Fund bo paid to the Sinking Fund Commissioners to be, appointed for that purpose, on the Ist day of March in each and every year during the currency of such Loan, being a period of twelve years or until the Loan is fully paid off, of which Sinking Fund the first payment shall be made on the First (Ist) day of March. 1924. 5. That the said Special Loan of £3600 be raised by the issue of Debentures under “The Local Loans Act, 1913,” and hear such rate of interest as may bo prescribed by the Governor-General in Council in terms of “The Finance Act, 1921,” payable, half-yearly on the First (Ist) day of September and tho First day of March in each anti every year during the currency of the Loan, or until such Loan is fully paid off, and that coupons ho annexed to each such Debenture accordingly, and that the said Debentures and Coupons be payable at the Town Hall, Dunedin; provided, however, that the holder of any such Debenture may at his option elect to have payment made at any branch of the Bank of New Zealand within the Dominion of New Zealand free of exchange to the holder thereof. 6. That the Corporate Seal be affixed to nil such Debentures, and that all such Debentures and Coupons bo signed by the Mayor and countersigned by the City Treasurer, but. so that their respective signatures to the Coupons may be lithographed on the Coupons. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the said Resolution will be submitted to an Ordinary Meeting of tha said Council, to be held on WEDNESDAY, the 17th day of January, 1923,. for Confirmation as a Special Order. PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Dunedin City Council, at a Special Meeting convened for the purpose, and held or. Wednesday, tire 6th day of December, 1922, Passed the following Resolution—viz.:— “■That the Council of the*City of Du'faedin hereby resolves, so that this resolu tion may bo submitted to a subsequent, meeting of the Council, and-operate as a Special Order, that tho proposed By-law submitted to this meeting of the Council, and entituled “ Tho Dunedin City By-law No. 12, 1923.” in respect of tho Supply of Electricity, be and the same is hereby adopted as a By-law.” The object and purport of the proposed By-law is to amend and extend By-law No. 1 of the City of Dunedin to make provision respecting the Supply of Electricity from the Council’s reticulating lines. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the said Resolution will be Submitted to an Ordinary Meeting of the said Council to be hold on Wednesday, the 17th clay of JANUARY, 1923, for Confirmation as a Special Order, to which Meeting tho said By-law will also be submitted for confirmation. A full copy of the proposed By-law is deposited at the Offices of tho Council at tho Town Hall, Dunedin, and is Open to Public Inspection during office hours until the said 17th day of January, 1923G.
