COUNTRY WEEK, TOWN v. COUNTRY. Teams representing the country teams taking part in Uouiury Week and the town mol on the Caledonian Ground yesterday. The unsuitable weather prevented play m the morning, and even in the afternoon, when Iho match was begun, conditions were unpleasant. Both sides played out their first innings, and the game will bo concluded io-day. Town batted first, and their opening was very promising. After the third wicket had fallen, however, a rot set in, and the score was only 96 when Ingram, the last man, joined R. Bell at the wickets. These two improved ilia position considerably and their partnership added 40 runs to the total. The country team held its end’ up well until the first four wickets hod fallen. The town loam did not take long in disposing of the remaining batsmen at. the expense of 27 runs, and the innings closed for 75, leaving the former 61 runs ahead.
