At Brandon, Manitoba, President Burnoil. of tho United Farmers’ Corporation of Manitoba, addressed the annual convention. Ho stated that the exodus ot fanners from the roil to the cities is destroying Canadian agriculture and creating a, situation which is threatening the foundations of Canadian prosperity. More farmers are in financial difficulties now than ever before, despite the record-breaking crops. High taxes and high interest are creating a" difficulty. He advocated a system of long-term loan* r-ud short-time credits adapted to the needs of agriculture,.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
