(Received Jan. 10, at 8.25 p.m.) A Bastrop (Louisiana) telegram says: A witness at the murder trials gave intimate details of the Ku Klux Klan 6 activities in Bastrop parish, where the murders occurred. He showed 'an intricate and invisible government existing, neighbour watching neighbour for moral violations. The Ku Klux Klan carried out extensive punishments, kidnapping some, including women, and sending them into other States, flogging others, killing sometimes, and always using the threat of force to keep citizens in constant terror.— A. and N.Z.
