NEW POLITICAL PARTY. . WILL SUPPORT THE GOVERNMENT. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, January 9. A convention at Dublin formed a new political party to support the present Government. The party will nominate candi-" dates at the coming election. Its aim will be to secure the unification of Ireland and a fusion of the parties which previously were working in co-operation. THE BRITISH EVACUATION. LONDON, January 9. (Received Jan. 10, at 7.20 p.m.) The British troops which held Donegal and Fermanagh have evacuated Pettigo and other border towns. REBEL OUTRAGES. ISLAND IN GALWAY CAPTURED. LONDON, January 9. Free Staters captured Quaker Island, Loughrea. Frtnr of the defenders were killed and the remainder were taken prisoner. The capture was effected with armoured boats and aeroplanes.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
