(Fnou Our Own Correspondents.) ROXBURGH. January 5. The year opened wet, and up to yesterday morning 75 points of rain had fallen. Tho glass is rising steadily, and is now higher than it has been for some considerable time, and there is every indication of more settled weather. For tho month of December 279 points of rain fell, a total for the year of 19.29 inches. OTUREHUA, January 4. The rainfall registered here for the month (f December was 4.26 inches. The total fall for the year was 21.39 inches, compared with 19.40 inches in 1921, and 15.84 inches in 1920. Since the Ist of the present month 122 points have fallen. Tho ground has had a thorough soaking, and it is seldom there is such an abundance of grass at this time of the year. WOODLANDS. January 3. The rainfall registered here for the month of December was 414 points, and the total for the past year was 3931 points; tho previous year 4568 points.
