' (Received Jan. 6, at 7.20 p.m.) A Marion telegram states that at thd miners’ trial a witness for the defend}; testified that mine guards fired the shots in. tha Herrin nets from a concealed gun at the mine. The witness declined that,'ho saw a crowd of miners, SQmo with guns, approaching the mine. Two miners offered to persuade the non-union workers, to quit.
