BURGLARS IN WELLINGTON
SOME DARING COUPS. (Pea United Press Association.! WELLINGTON, January 5. pairing t.lio past 10 weeks three daring burglaries have been committed bore. Homo £7OO worth of poods have been stolen, the burglars managing to get clean away with the booty. It is understood the police now believe that certain men who are in custody in connection with another ollonce -were responsible for the burglaries, and evidence is at present being collected by Ihe detectives wit.li. a view charging them with the above offences. The police are of the oninion that the goods were not disposed of in Wellington, but wore taken country and hawked amongst settlers.
