CONTAGIOUS MAMMITIS CONTAMINATION OF MILK PREVENTIVE MEASURES HAMILTON, Tuesday. The danger of contagious mammitis getting into the town by means of contaminated milk being sold to citizens was referred to in a letter from the Farmers Union, and was considered at a meeting of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerca last evening. The letter stated that there were many cows suffering from tuberculosis and mammitis in the country, and, in order that the diseases should not be passed on to human beings, it was necessary that tha milk of all cows should be tested. It w.iS suggested that the chamber should taka action to have a testing station provided for Hamilton. —(From “N.Z.
