Mr W’alter Monk has. arrived in the city to make arrangements for the production of “Johnny Get Your Gun.’’ Captain Gage Williams, -formerly A.D.C, to Lord Liverpool, 'when the latter was Governor-General for New Zealand, is visiting Auckland. A Wellington Press Association message states that Mr D. F. AVilhur, American Consul-general, has resigned, and will leave in April next'after two years’ service ;n Now Zealand. He intends to re-enter business in New York. 1 Mr A. J. Fairmaid, A.M.1.C.E., of tho Public Works Departinent, Nelson, who has been spending his holiday in Dunedin, went north by the express yesterday, en .route for Wellington.
