Owing to the shortage of labour yesterday the Breeze will not' get away till to-morrow or Saturday for Wellington and Wanganui, via way ports. The Calm, from Bluff, is due hero about January 5 to load for Wanganui, via ports. ' The Paloona, which completed discharge yesterday, will go down to Port Chalmers this morning, where she will undergo overhaul before withdrawing from the Australian service. The majority of her crew have been paid off. The Kent, which was discharging cargo at the Victoria wharf yesterday, is to go down to Port Chalmers about noon to-day to load wool purchased at the recent wool sale and' general cargo for Great Britain. The Waipori, from Westport, via Bluff, is Hue here to-day, and is to sail to-morrow for Greymouth direct. The Whangape, from Sydney, via Wellington and Lyttelton,, is duo here shortly to load for Bluff and Sydney. The C. and D. Line advises ■ that the Port Hunter sailed from Newcastle on December 20 for Gisborne, where she will commence Homeward loading. She is later to load at Tokomaru Bay, Napier, and Wanganui, and will sail from Wanganui during the third week in January for London. ’ The steamer Newby Hall is to leave New York on January 5 with cargo for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Australian ports. She is to be followed by the Trekicve, sailing from. New York on January 10 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the liner Cumberland is due at Wellington on January 4 from Port Pirio for loading. The vessel will load at Wellington, Port Chalmers. Timaru, Lyttelton, Tokomaru Bay, and Napier, and then returns to Wellington to complete her cargo. She is expected to sail from Wellington early in February for Home ports. The Mayor of Eastbourne (Wellington) has been advised that the now harbour ferry steamer Muritai was launched successfully on December 30 at Montrose, Scotland, by the Coastal Construction Company. The High Commissioner (Sir James Allen) in notifying the event, congratulated the Eastbourne Borough Council on the launching, and reciprocated greetings cabled by the council on the occasion. Lady Allen carried out the christening ceremony, which ended ■with the successful eliding diown ! the ways of Wellington’s new harbour ferry steamer. lONIC. DUE SATURDAY. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Line steamer lonic, which is at present discharging London cargo at Lyttelton,' is to sail to-morrow for Port Chalmers, where she is dn. e on Saturday. She will then proceed to Wellington on January 4 to complete loading. The vessel is scheduled to sail from Wellington at daybreak on January 11 for Southampton and London. V THE TEKOA’S ITINERARY. The Federal Line steamer. Tekoa, which left Newcastle on December 20, will load at Auckland, Lyttelton New Plymouth, Wanganui, Wellington, and Napier. The vessel

is expected to leave Napier on January 26 for Now York, Boston, Avoninouth, Liverpool, Manchester, and Glasgow. ■WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE. The following vessels were expected to be within range of the under-mentioned wireless stations last night:—Auckland; Arabura, Cape May, Kauri, Otarama, Port Lincoln, Ttedenham, and Ulimaroa. Wellington; Maori, Wahine, Ngaio, Maunganui, Suffolk, Kaituna, City of Winchester, and Whangape. PORT LINCOLN AT AUCKLAND Messrs J. W. Swift and Co. advise that the C. and D. liner Port Lincoln arrived at Auckland on Monday from New York, via Panama. The vessel, which is laden, with general cargo and case oil, will call at Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne, and Sydney. She is due here about January 6. PORT DARWIN DUE SHORTLY. Messrs J. W. Swift and Co., local agents for the Commonwealth and Dominion Line, advise that the Port Darwin was to leave Wellington yesterday afternoon for Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete discharge of her cargo from London. She will load later at Lyttelton, Gisborne, Napier, and Wellington, and will sail finally from Wellington on January 21 * for London, via Montevideo. ROYAL MAIL STEAMERS. The following are the movements of the Royal Mail steamers; ■ The Maunganui, which left San Francisco on December 8 for Wellington and Sydney, via. ports, is due at Wellington to-morrow. The Tahiti, which left Wellington on December 19 for San Francisco, via ports, i® due at San Francisco on January 8 The Makura. which left Auckland on December 19 for San Francisco, via ports, is at present at Vancouver. The Niagara is to leave Sydney to-day, and Auckland on January 2, for Vancouver, via ports.
