MEN'S MISSION HOUSE. TO THE EDITOR. Sin, On behalf of our largo family may we appeal to relieve their distress as wo find ourselvos unable to provide the "Christmas cheer" owing to the. heavy calls on our funds. Wo feol sure that we have only to make this fact, known and we shall receive generous assistance from all classes of the community. To supplement our funds wo are holding a "Jumble Sale" on Fritlav next in the Old Post Office buildings, 'when gifts of clothing, books, furniture, etc., will 1m gratefully received. The smallest, donation in cash or kind will be gratefully received by Mrs Moreton, 1 View street, Dunodin, or on tho morning of the sale. Trusting tho publio will respond and help to make those who through no fault of their own aro only able to eke out a ■hare existence.
