PRESENTATION OF PRIZES

TABERNACLE JUNIOR CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUR SOCIETY. The Tabernacle Junior Christian Endeavour Society held their annual concert, and presentation of prizes on Tuesday evening, in the presence of a large gathering of parents, friends, tuul members from kindred societies. Tho church was artistically decorated with flowers. The Rev. C. Dallastoii presided, and tho following programme was given by the children .-—Opening exercise, “Welcome, ’ seven gills; song, “When 1 Am Old,” Miss Alyrie Wyllie; recitation. “A Pattern Child,” Miss Martha Andrews; part-song, “Mister Nobody.” eight girls; dialogue, “Bold for the Right.” Masters R. Payton F. Edgar, and R. Watson; “Fairies Drill,” Miss X. Evans and eight fairies; recitation, “A Letter to Santa Claus.” Aliss Alar garet Davey; duel. ‘'The Singing Lesson,” Miss Hazel Knowles, Master Jack Ledgerwood; recitation, “Opportunity,” Alasters A. APKochnie, E. Stentiford. A. Russell; dialogue, “Counting Eggs,” Aliases J. Crawford, F. Roberts, Master B. Smith; song, “Tit for Tat,” Aliss Dorothy" Stentiford; action piece, “Our National Banner,” Master T. Rennie, W. Davey, W. Ritchie, C. Fleming; action song, “Ten Little Birds,’ Misses Parsons, Rush. Abbott, N. W'ahrlich; dialogue. “The Trials of tho Photo grapher,” Miss E. Crawford, Master. Sparrow, and seven girls; piano duct, “Parade of the Amazons,” Alisses G. and H. Knowles: character song, “Hi Clmng-a-ling,” Alastcr Jack 'Ledger-wood; recitation. “The Trials of . School Life,” Master Oswald-Wahrlich; part songs (a) “Lullaby,” (b) “The Gate of Yesterday,” choir. Tho secretary (Aliss Crawford) rear! tho report, which shewed a class membership of 103 —58 girls and 45 boys. The average attendance has been good. Special mention should be made of D. Stentiford and E. Stentiford, whoso attendance has been unbroken for six years; E. Crawford and AI. Wahrlich for five years; A. Wyllie, three years; J. I.edgerwood. A. Russell, D. Parsons, F. Krriclge for two years; and eight others for. one year. Flowers have been distributed every week, altogether 'over 90 bunches, to the "sick in Hospital. The rally hold during the winter months took tho form of an “aeroplau" flight,” and proved a close contest, the “Rod” side winning- by only" two points Alembers of the choir and others have given concerts at the Benevolent and Children’s Convalescent Home at Kew. Aliss R. Watson (treasurer) stated in her report that £6 10s had been given to mission work. At tho close one of the younger members presented the president (Aliss Sundstrum) with a lovely" bouquet. Aliss Sundslrum responded in terms of appreciation, thanking the children for their gift. The Rev. C. Dallaston thanked all those who had contributed towards a successful evening, and distributed the prizes, and the gathering concluded with the singing of tho National Anthem.
