LITIGATION OVER ESTATE
CLAIM FOR £500,000. LONDON, December 1. The sum of £500,000 is concerned in a will case appeal, which the House of Lords allowed in favour of Mrs Gemmell. the wife of a shipowner and daughter of the late Mr A. F. Donaldson, of the Donaldson Steamship Line, who left property equally to Mrs Gemmell and to a brother of the latter on attaining the age of 25. The brother was killed in the war before ho reached 25, and the whole estate went to Mrs Gemmell, who also claimed the interest on the brother's share, which his trustees disputed.
