ANNUAL REPORTS. Tho annual report of the committee of tiro Anglican Memorial Homo for Boys (Anderson 7 a Bay) says that the appointments of Mr and Mrs Garrard as resident manager and matron respectively have been eminently satisfactory. The welfare of tho boys could not be better Safeguarded than it is under their parental care. Mr Gerrard wisely suggests that some training of the older boya in farm work may be of great value to them and to future employers when the time comes for them to leave the home. Already one request has been received from a farmer for such a boy. This training can be curried out in a small way at present, and may be a stepping stone to a larger scheme. The report of the chaplain-xn-charge (the Rev G E Moreton) is as under;—The first, homo was founded in May, 1918, and tlmnlvs arc duo to tho generosity of Mr I , C. On November 1, 1919, the value of the property and .assets amounted to £3905. Real progress has been made in the work notwithstanding tho financial stringency prevailing. Tho balance sheet for the year ended March 31 sots out tho value of the property at £5Bl-1, all free of debt —an increase of £1909 in a period covering two years. On November 1, 1919, there were eight boya in the home, and on March 31, 1922, tho number was 32. The total amount of money raised from all sources for the period dating November 1, 1919, to March 31, 1922, was £5197 3s 7d. The cottage system has been adopted for housing the boys, and a real touch of home life is thereby brought into the work. A present need of fie institution is a new dormitory to accommodate another 15 or 20 boya and a chapel to scat at least 60, These would cost £2700. 1
