DUNEDIN BOWLING CENTRE

A meeting of the executive, of the Dunedin Bowling Centre was hold last night, Mr W. Jacobsen occupying the chair. In accordance with a request from tho Dunedin Band Contest Committee it was decided not to hold any bowling fixture on February 24 next, on which the quickstep contest will be held. The Secretary of the Dominion of New Zealand iiowling Association wrote advising that the programme of the rink tournament to be held at Christinas this year by the Dunedin Centre had been approved and the necessary permission granted.—Received. The Secretary of the South Otago Centro wrote stating that it approved of tho proposal from Central Otago to hold an intercentre tournament at Dunedin during Carnival Week.—Received. The Seacliff Club advised that it would not be able to take part in Saturday games this year.—Received. Draws for Saturday and four-rink competitions, which are not yet available for publication, were submitted and approved. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Messrs A. Sullivan and W. Jacobsen for their work in drawing up the schemes. Messrs A. M'Kenzie, W. Henaghan, and K, H... Todd were appointed a Match Committee.
