MINING
OHINEMURI PROGRESS REPORT. The following' .progress report of work in the Ohinemuri mine has come to hand:— The north drive has been advanced sft. and is now out 14Cfl, with the foolwall only exposed. The- quart/, is still oxidis-cd. but is of a favourable nature. Tho south drive is in 288 ft. and the reef is the. full width of the drive, with neither wall showin?. The quartz is still of a hard nature, and is showing largo quantities of rhodonite. Values liavo also been seen in the' quartz broken out.
