WAGE FOR MALE ADULTS. Jpxesa ABBocktioa—By Telegraph—Copyright, : SYDNEY, September 29. -The Board of Trade has declared the living wage for male adults at £3 18s weekly, tho same, as that previously fixed. SWISS MANUFACTURES. SYDNEY, September 30. The Swiss Consul protests against the charge made during a City Council discussion that Swiss meters were manufactured in Germany. He says that all Swiss goods which arrive in Australia are accompanied by a certificate signed by the British Consul certifying that the goods are purely Swiss, and that not more than 5 per cent, of enemy raw materials are included in such goods. FUNDING WAR DEBTS AGREEMENT. LONDON, September 29. Tho Commonwealth Government is paying the British Treasury on Monday £2,770,000, the half-yearly instalment pay- . Bby under the funding war debts agreement.
