CRIBBAGE TO Tar. EDITOR. Sir,—l was interested to read in the "News in Brief” column of tho iasuq of the 19th in.d. of the “highest hand possible’’ in tho game of cribbage. It might interest the holder of that hand, and others, to know tho following;—About 19 or 20 years ago I was playing with somo friends in Hope street, lluncdin, and twice in one night I held four fives in my hand, and each time, when the cut was made, the knave turned up. This is probably unique. I have only seen that hand once since then, when, playing with my daughter about a year ago, she held it.—l am, etc., Invercargill, July 19. The apricot growers of Tasmania have decided to co-operate with the view of getting better prices for their fruit. A suggestion for the building of a canning factory was approved of.
