At Addington to-day there were heavy yarding? of all sections of stock, particularly, fat sheep. There was an improved market for prime beef and store sheep, whilst butchers’ mutton maintained last week’s rates. 1 Fat lambs were easier. Store Sheep.—A big yarding for this time of the year. A better class of ewes were forward, and these, also wethers, sold freely. Forward lambs, 15s fid to 17s; good, 13s 6d to 15s 3d; medium, lls •to 13s 3d; small, 9s to 10a 8d; cull, 6s to 8s 9d; good half bred owe lambs, to 19s; ; four and six-tooth ewes, to 20s 8d; good four and six-tooth halfbreds, 22s 6d to 24s Od; ordinary four, six, and eight-tooths, 14s 9d to 18s; inferior and low-conditioned, 12s to 14s; sound and failing-mouthed, 13s to 16s; good forward four and, six-tooth wethers, 18s to 21s 7d; ordinary, 12s 6d to 17s 6d; six and eight-tooth, 15s 6d to 17s; forward two-tooth to 17s 2d; ordinary, l'3s to 15s 3d Fat- Lambs.—A yarding of 6430, compared with 6800 Inst week. The bulk were onlv moderately finished. There was a weakening throughout, values averaging about td per lb. Extra prime lambs, 25s 6d to Is 3d; prime. 22s 6d to 25s 3d: medium, 'l9s 9d to 225.3 d: light, and inferior, 16s to 19s fid. Fat Sheep.—An exceptionally heavy yarding. Values for good mutton were maintained until near the finish, when prices slipped back, but light mutton was weaker. Freezers secured the bulk of this.
