THE ROYAL TOUR
THE PRINCE IN JAPAN. PICTURESQUE SCENES.. Frees Association—By Telegraph—Copyright TOKIO, May 1. The Prince of Wales had another day of wonderful - sight-seeing in glorious weather. He viewed the famous temples around Kyoto, and- then boated down the Kozugawa shooting frequent boiling rapids. The eight-mile journey to Saga was through a deep gorge. The people from far and near gathered along the banks, which in some places were high, precipitous rocks, and gave his Royal Highness a continuous' reception. In the evening the Prince dined with the Mayor of Kyoto, and witnessed a picturesque cherry dance by some of the daintiest singers in Japan.—A. and’ N-Z. Cable.
