ST. MICHAEL'S CHURCH
SALE OF WORK. A sale of work was held in the old Presbyterian Church Hall at Anderson’s Bay yesterday afternoon and evenirig in aid of the funds of St. Michael’s Church. The interest which the Ladies’‘ Guild, under the presidency of Mrs Bayley, takes in, the welfare of the church was evidenced _ by the well-stocked condition of the various 'stalls, the articles displayed for sale being largely of a utilitarian type. In the evening the Rev. H. 0. Fenton, F.R.P.S.. gave a limelight display of a number of .his best slides, accompanying the views with interosting comment descriptive, of the various scenes and places represented. Taken as a whole, the sale was highly successful, and the ladies have much'cause'for gratification with the result attained. The stallholders were as follow:—. ' Work Stall.—Mesdames Bayley and Fenton and Miss M‘Adam. Produce Stall.—Mrs Lawlor and Miss Corser. , , Sweets Stall.—Miss Hargreaves and Miss L. Mac Lean. Afternoon Tea Room.—Mesdames Luscombe, Clatworthy, and Aitken. Bran Tub.—Mr and Miss Heatley.
