BUTTER AND CHEESE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cable from London, April 29:—“Butter: Market firm, more demand for salted than unsalted; Danish. £9 8s; Australian finest salted, £8 4s; finest unsalted, £8; New Zealand salted, £8 18s; Queensland, £8 2s. Cheese steady: New Zealand colour, £4 12s; New Zealand white, £4 25.” PRICE OF JAM REDUCED. Messrs Irvine andl Stevenson’s St. George Company, Ltd., advise a reduction of Jd per lb pa jams. DALGETY AND CO. LTD. Messrs Dalgety and! Co., Ltd., has received cable advice from London that tl;o company has declared an interim dividend of 5s per share, payable on May 18. 1 GRAIN AND PRODUCE. Messrs Donald Reid and Co., Ltd., report ae under: Oats. —A grade Cartons, 2s lOd; B grade, 2s 4d to 2s sd. Wheat.—The majority of the samples coming to hand are being rejected on account of sprout and smut. The millers are only taking gcod-conditionedl lines. Potatoes. —Best Taieri tables, £4 10s to £4 (sacks in). Chaff. —Prime, £4 15s; good to best feed, £4 10s to £4 12s 6d (sacks extra). Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report: Oats.—The demand is practically confined to seed and milling lines, which meet with a fair demand at late rates. Potatoes. —The market is well supplied, and as the demand is very slack prices ar© easier. There is a little inquiry for prime lines free from blight, but ordinary samples are difficult to quit. Prim© Taieris, £4 10s to £4 15s per tom (sacks in). Chaff.—There ia little change in the market. There a fair demand for good sound lines, which are worth up to £4 15* per ton. Light and discoloured is worth £4 Ss to £4 10s (sacks extra). RABBITSKXN SALE.
