AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright MELBOURNE, April 29. C. G. Watson (Victoria) won the chess championship with 11 out of 13 games. Davies (New Zealand) tied for third place with games. MELBOURNE. April 30. (Received April 30, at 11.50 p.m.) Mr Watson, the chess champion, is managing director of a life insurance company in Australia. Though the championship has already been decided, the still undecided games may slightly alter the scores of the other players.
