He was Rector of St. Michael’s, Manchester, from 1889 to 1897, and of St. James’s, Gorton, from 1897 to 1902. [The late Mr Richard Croker, who was born at Olonakilty, in the County of Cork, in 1841, was leader of Tammany Hall from 1834 to 1903. He was educated at New York, and was an Alderman of that city from 1868 to 1870. He was elected a Freeman of Dublin in 1908. He took a keen interest in horse racing, and won the Derby, Irish Derby, Curragh, and Boldoyle Derby with Orby in 1907, and (bo English Guineas with Rliodora, Orby’s half sister, the following year.] M.
