Tho annual meeting of parishioners was held on Monday night in tho hall at 700 Although a heavy storm of wind and rain was in evidence, there was a good attendance of representative members. Messrs Tewsley and I. A. Peters were elected as people’s and clergyman’s wardens. Messrs Leftwich, Verrall, Webb, Laley, Hudson, Thompson, R. Campbell, H. Reeves, H. O. Haggitt, Dolomore, F. C. Smith, and Fleming° were elected as vestry and sidesmen for the ensuing year, and Mr C. Braithwaite ss auditor. The financial statement was read by the treasurer The year's transaction had ended with a debit balance of £1 7s, which was promptly wiped out by a donation by Mr Fleming. Last year the debit balance was £l7 odd. The vicar, in his remarks, congratulated the congregation on tie state of things revealed by the balance sheet, and urged all to live up to their highest ideals in keeping the church free of debt. He thanked all church workers for their generous devotion to duty. The Ladies’ Guild and Cheerio Club for girls had done splendid work, the Sunday school was steadily growing, and if nil worked in the future, as in the past, a splendid heritage would Ire handed on to the new generation. The boys' choir, some 14 strong, was highly praised for regular attendance.
