CIVIL SERVICE HARRIERS

ANNUAL MEETING. At the annual meeting of -the Civil Service Harriers and . A.A. Club the nineteenth annua! report was adopted. It stated that during the season 14 runs and six races had been held. The attendance, at the-various .runs bad been, considering. the small active membership, highly satisfactory, and four attendance badges had -been won during tho season. Air A. E. Lockett proved himself one of Otago’s foremost sprinters. special mention was made of the fact that he had! several times journeyed from Balclutha, at, considerable inconvenience to himself, in order to represent the club. In the various events, especially the open events, the failure of the members was mainly due to want of systematic training: The finances of the club were in a very satisfactory condition. • The following office-bearers were appointed :—Patron, Mr J.
