The following report on work in the Ohinemuri Gold and Silver Mineo has come to hand:—The north drive on the new reef baa bean advanced Bft. The drive is in quartz with neither wall showing and some rich valuisa were seen on the footwall vein. The aouth drive is out 78ft in solid quartz, with neither well showing. The quartz is very hard, but looks kindly, and carries a little value. THE SHARE MARKET DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. The market opened for the week yesterday with a healthy tone, the stocks which demanded most attention being fairly firm. Wilson’s Portland dement were dealt in at 15s 3d, and! closed with a seller at 15s 6d, there being no buying quotation. New Zealand Refrigerating (con.) had two transactions at 13s 9d, and at the close tho buyer offered 13s Bd, the seller asking 14s. The chief mining stocks were firm, without business, and Government stocks were in fair request at steady rates. Other lines were without change.
