The Otago Schools' Swimming Championship Carnival. cent rolled by the Otago Centro of tho New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association was hold in tho Municipal Baths on Saturday evening before a largo attendance of tbe public, who were treated to an enjoyable night's entertainment, die various events being very keenly contested. .Mr ,1. In the course of his remarks he congratulated the scholars cn the manner in which they were taking advantage of tho classes at the baths, and also the school masters for encouraging the pupils to learn the very useful art of swimming.
