WAIHI GOLD MINING CO. The following information has been cabled to the head office in London of th© Waihi Gold Mining Company:—No. 12 level: On the Empire lode, south section, from 670 ft to 709 ft, th© reef is 6ft wide, and the value 20s 9d per ton. On th© Martha lode, east of the Bath crosscut, the value from 141 ft to I6Gft is 37s 9d per ton. In the crosscut at 100 ft east, the reef is 68ft wide, the value of th© last 10ft being 24s 6d per ton. No; 13 level: In the north-west crosscut from No. 4 ©haft, there is “faulted” country from 166 ft to 197 ft. This contains n detached piece of quartz of low value. From 197 ft to 199 ft is quartz value 5s 6d per ton; from 199 ft to 201 ft, mixture, value Is 9d per ton; and from 201 ft to 206 ft is the Dreadnought lode, value 6s per ton. In the crosscut S.E. from No. 4 shaft from 265 ft to 273 ft, is country rook; from 273 ft to 274Jft mixture, value is Id per ton; from 274ift to 279 ft, country rock; front 279 ft to 284 ft is quartz, value 12s 3d par ton; from 284 ft to 301 ft, country rock; and from 301 ft to 3olft, quartz, value 3s 7d per ton.
