SAFETY OF MINERS
£13,000 FOR RESEARCH. LONDON, March 2. The committee appointed by the Secretary for Mines to allocate the miners’ welfare fund constituted under the Mining Industry Act has voted £12,000 for research work in safety lamps and firedamp dangers, and £IOOO towards research connected with the control of atmospheric conditions in deep and hot mines
