ST. KILDA HARRIERS

ROLL OF HONOUR UNVEILED. A roll of honour in memory of the members of the St. Kilda Harrier and A.A. Club who paid the supremo sacrifice in the late war, was unveiled at the St. Kilda Methodist Schoolroom yesterday afternoon. The Rev. Basil Motson, patron of the club, presided, and there was a large gathering of club members and friends, with a representative number of returned soldiers. After a hymn and prayer, the chairman read apologies for absence from Dr Harrison, president of the Returned Soldiers’ Association, and Mr E. Aslin. Mr J. Dove, Mayor of St. Kilda, congratulated (be club on the fact that no fewer than 70 of its members had answered tho caff of King and Country, and had served in the r ~roat war. Of thin number lb bad paid the supremo sacrifice, and it was to do honour to the gallant dead that the memorial was erected. Mr E. A. iiosevear, president of the club, paid an eloquent, tribute to the spirit of sacrifice which animated the men who bad given their lives that we might live safe and free.
