WEATHER SIMMARY

RAINFALL IN JANUARY. The rainfall in Dunedin during the past month has been particularly heavy, and was spread out over a period of 18 days. According to the rain gauge kept by Mr W. Jacobsen, at the pumping station, Musselburgh, 3.400 in of rain fell during January, as compared with 1.540 in for the same month in 1921,- 1.300 in in ‘1920, 6.200 in in 1919, 2.220 in in 1918, and 2.850 in in January of 1917.
