The firstclass yacht race resulted in Victory being first, Moona second, and Restless third. In the 21£t speed championship of New Zealand C. J. Collins's Pussyfoot-beat Len Adams’s Miss Eileen over a,. 12-mile course by 7min lOsea These were the only starters. : Pussyfoot developed’ a little over 21 knots in the open' speed race. A hydroplane owned by C. Holland, of Kaipara, caught fire, but was not greatly damaged. The occupants were uninjured. WELLINGTON, January 30. No definite announcement has been made as yet as to the proposed further cut in the railway tilpe-table. It is understood that the alterations will' take .effect about the middle of next month, and that one of the changes will be the‘cutting off of the second Anckland-Wcllington express, which is at present rim on alternate days. ,
