Unusual experiments have been carried out in the endeavour to find a remedy for «a sickness by Dr Pozerski, of tlio Pasteur Institute, Parie. With the help of an_ ingenious machine constructed by an engineer friend. Dr Pozerski is able lo reproduce tho movements of a ship in a heavy sea. This machine was manned by a mijeed crew, including cate, dogs, pigeons, chickens. rabbits, and guinea pigs. It was found that the dosrs W€To most seriously affected, but the rabbits and guinea pigs gave no signs of noticing the rooking cf the machine, after six hours appearing as fresh as when they were placed “on board.” _Dr Pozerski intends to take this immunity cf rabbits as a new starting point for research into the cause arui prevention of sea- sickness.
