THE SANDERS CUP
ARRIVAL OF THE DESERT GOLD’S CREW. Four of the members of the crew of the Desert Gold, which will represent Auckland in tho race for tho Sanders’ Challenge Cup, arrived by tho second express from tho north last night. The yachtsmen who arrived last night were—Messrs T. Patrick, F. Cloke, E. Lee, and W. Caudle. Mr J. Patrick, who will sail tho Desert Gold, will reach Dunedin this evening, and Mr Y. Lidgard will come on next week.Tho northern yachtsmen were met at tho railway station by a large number of Dunedin yachtsmen. . Tho Desert Gold yflll arrive in Dunedin on Monday, The crews of the Linnet, tho Canterbury challenge 14-footer, and the Iran Duke, tho Wellington boat, are expected within tho next day or two.
