HADFIELD-PADDON CONTEST, (Per United Press Association.) WANGANUI, January 25. The supporters of Hadficld lodged a cheque for £IOO at the Herald office this morning .to cover a similn;* amount lodged by O. Seifert at tho office of the "Waikato Times for binding his race with Pacldon, to be rowed on tho Wanganui River about the Easter holidays. Advice has been received that Floyd rs looking after Paddon’s interests, and will probably accompany him to Wangonui.
