West, of Loyal King Edward Lodge, London, and lately of, Dunedin, was officially welcomed, and returned 'thanks. *6me new member was initiated. Logic on'the merit' board and award him an emblematical certificate. , The first meeting for the year of Loyal Albion was "held on January 12, N.G. Bro. "' Downes presiding. The lodge -was in mourning owing to the demise of P.P.G.M. Bro. C. W. Smith, who. at the time of his death, was in his 77th year. He joined the order in Bristol. England, in 1863, and', became attached to Loyal Albion by_ clearance in 1877, 1 and retained an active interest in its working until a little over a year ago, when he removed to ftore.
