CURIOUS AUSTRIAN FINANCE. VIENNA, January 2. The circulation of bank notes in Austria has increased in an unprecedented manner. ‘The output for the last week in December represented 17,000 million crowns (nominally £700,000,000). A curious phenomena is that although the circulation, of notea has now reached ' the enormous total of 160,000 million crowns (nominally £6,500,000,000), the public complain that there is inch a shortage that many employers on Saturday were unable to pay wages.
