ULIMAROA IN A GALE
PASSENGERS AND SEAMEN INJURED. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, January 5. The Ulimaroa encountered a hurricane on Monday and Tuesday, the engines being run at half speed. - Heavy seas come aboard and washed out the officers’ quarters on the top deck, and smashed the deck and stem lights. The canvas screens on the bridge and decks were blown to ribbons. The wooden lifeboat covers' were blown away, and the sprays reached the mainmast as far a a the headlight, 80 feet above the deck. Two _ passengers and a seaman received minor injuries,,
