NOTICE IS HEREBY" GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the St. Hilda Borough Council held on Monday, the 19th day of December. 1921, the following Resolution was passed:— “Whereas two sums each of £7OOO, borrowed by the St. Hilda Borough Council, are due on the Ist day oi March, 1922,'and whereas the sum of £14,000 is required to pay off ohe said loans; now, therefore, the St. Hilda Borough Council, in exercise of the ■ powers vested in it in that behalf by ‘The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,’ and of every, if any other, power in that behalf, and with the preceding consent of the Governor-in-Council under /Section 20 of ‘The Finance Act, 1919,’ hereby resolves by way of special order:— L To borrow -the stun of £14,000 for the purpose of paying off the said loans. / 2. That the sa.pl sum of £14,000 shall be payable on the Ist day of March, 1932, or such earlier date as may be determined by the council. , _ 3. That the security for the said loan shall be —_ “(a) A special rate of § of a penny in the £ upon the rateable value of all rateable property in ,the said borough, which is to be made and levied for the purpose of the said loan. “(b) The property of the Borough of St. Hilda and any revenues of the said borough from any source (other than moneys received or receivable by way of grant from the Government of New Zealand), and any funds and money of the said borough, subject to a special loan of two thousand pounds (£2000), one thousand pounds (£1000) bearing interest at £4 10s (four pounds ten shillings) per centum per annum, and one thou- • sand pounds (£1000), bearing _ interest at five pounds five shillings (£5 ss) per centum per annum (secured on the general revenue of the borough); and also, to a loan of nine thousand nine hundred pounds (£9900), beanhg _ in- ; . terest at four pounds ten shillings (£4 10s) per centhm per annum (secured on the property of the said Borough of St. Hilda and any revenues of the Borough of St. Hilda from any source other than moneys received by way of grant * from the Government of New Zealand and any funds or moneys of the said borough); and also to a loan of one thousand five hundred pounds (£1500), bearing interest at the rate of four pounds ten shillings (£4 10s) per centum per annum (secured on the property of the said Borough of St. Hilda and any revenues of the Wd borough from any_ source other than moneys received by way of grant from the Government of Now Zealand and any funds or moneys of the said borough); and also to a special loan of twenty-five thousand five hundred pounds (£25,500), bearing interest at five pounds (£5) per centum per annum (secured by a special rate of one penny and throe-sixteenths of a penny in the £ on the rateable value of all rateable properties of the said Borough of St. Hilda); and also to a loan of five thousand pounds (£5000), throe thousand two hundred pounds bearing interest at five pounds ten shillings (£5 10s) per centum per annum and one thousand eight hundred pounds bearing interest at six pounds (£6) per centum per annum (secured by a 'special rate of six-twenty-fifths of a penny in the £ on the rateable value of the said Borough of St. Hilda). ‘‘4. That no sinking fund shall he provided in connection with the said loan. “5. That it is not proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan.” And Notice Is Also Hereby Givefi that the said resolution will bo submitted to a Special Meeting of the said Council, to be held at the Council Chambers, St. Hilda, on WEDNESDAY, the 18th day of January, 1922, at 5.45 o’clock in the afternoon, for’Confirmation as a Special Order.
