The -woollen industry in Italy is at present suffering from over-production. Dealers, wholesalers, and manufacturers have accumulated large stocks of goods, and production is reduced to a minimum. The people are waiting for a fall in prices, and demand is limited colely to the finest special types of goods. The factories are working on an average threo days a week.
