Cable. x KEMALISTS OCCUPY ADANA. DISPUTE WITH FRENCH COMMANDER. ATHENS, December 7. (Received Dec. 8, at 5.5 p.m.) A telegram from Adana (in Asia Minor) states that 5000 Kemalists entered the town after a dispute with a French commander who pointed out that the town could not be occupied before January T. The Kemalists replied that they could not disobey orders and must take Adana by force. The "commander telegraphed to headquarters for instructions and -was told to give way. Mouhedin Pasha, the Kemalist commander, announced that after three months Christians would be enrolled. The announcement'Vas received with consternation. —A. and N.Z. Cable.
